“The light of Greece opened my eyes…”
One week. The thought of leaving the comforts and responsibilities of home seemed impractical. There was, however, a small part of me – the adventurer that lives to meet new people, devour food, photograph new sights – that was relentless. The pull felt strong from within. My husband and I flew to and sailed around Greece. We breathed deeply, walked slowly, savored every flavor and allowed our laughter to linger. We reflected on the day’s adventures, historical landmarks and the interactions with others over leisurely meals. The explorer in me felt whole. This, in turn, magnifies the joy I feel as a mom, wife, photographer and teacher.
“We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.”
